today is a dreary day
the clouds
in my mind and heart
are heavy
saturated
i feel them condensing
welling up
droplets swell
and fall from my eyes
becoming rivulets
down my cheeks
i tilt my head back
ahhh . . .
sweet release
reposeful flow
i breathe . . .
in . . . and out . . .
in . . . and out . . .
in . . .
and out . . .
the clouds are lifting
the horizon is clearing
my tears are evaporating
i begin to feel
warm inside
it's done
i'm clean
refreshed
from the inside out
now, a glass of water
a nap, to recharge
then
i'll be ready
to begin again
